THE DAGGERS

The CWA Daggers® Awards

Administration site

This website has been built for publishers to use to enter books for the various CWA Dagger awards.

If you have reached this site because you want to know more about the CWA Daggers, you need to go over to the main CWA website. There’s a page with more information about the daggers. The links on the right of this page will tell you about the various winners.

Books may only be entered by bona fide UK publishers. This is a two-stage process: first you register your publisher details, and on a second screen list your imprints, if any. There is no charge and this only needs to be done once. The second stage, which is done once per book, is to enter the book for the relevant daggers. Each entry incurs a processing fee, payable by credit card/debit card/PayPal or cheque.

Before you start you may like to read the rules.

Publisher registration

Please note: when you register with us we issue you with a publisher number, and we store that number on your computer using a “cookie”. We do this so that you do not have to repeatedly enter that number, which we use to retrieve the other information we hold about you in our database. However, following a change in the law in May 2011, we need your permission to store that cookie on your computer.

Please make a choice:

I accept cookies from this site. (We will remember your choice by using a cookie.)

I do not accept cookies from this site. I understand that consequently I cannot use this site to enter books for The CWA Daggers.

To novelists and fans: We understand that you would want everyone to know about your favourite work, but this page is for publishers only. Submissions will not be accepted unless they come via a bona fide UK publisher. The processing fee is only to cover our costs, and refunds are time-consuming and costly, so no refunds will be made in the case of fan or author submissions. Sorry about that. But if you do want to shout to the world about your favourite author, visit our Dagger in the Library page - this Dagger is nominated by readers and librarians, so have a chat to your local librarian and ask them to nominate your favourite crime writer.
